Abstract

The effects of electrothermal feedback on operation of high-Tc superconducting transition edge bolometers were analysed. Experiment was carried out in the constant voltage and constant current biasing modes. Results showed that maximum responsivity for the constant current mode (CCM) and minimum response time for the constant voltage mode (CVM) can be achieved by adjusting the operating points of the bolometer. This helped in selecting the best operating mode for the bolometer for a specific application.
