Abstract
A general discussion of the ecosystem concept, stressing how far the characteristics of natural ecosystems can be transferred to, or made use of by, productive and techno-ecosystems dependent on or created by human beings. The author sets out his ecological theory for land utilization, based as it is on the concept of 'differentiated land or soil utilization'. -R.House
