Abstract
The quest for optimal tools and a meaningful degree of integration of e-business into producing companies' own business activities remains a fundamental topic in the management of such companies. At the same time, the quantifiable effects of the use of e-business now gain closer attention. This involves understanding the spectrum of the now established applications and making a selective choice of the most suitable solutions for the company in question. The first part of this article (ZWF 05/2004) focused on the principles, customer relationship management, marketing (e-marketing) and product development (e-engineering). This second part highlights the latest facts, methods and application examples for e-business and e-procurement, materials and information logistics (e-logistics) and in the shop floor production area (e-manufacturing) for producing companies.
