N2 - Over the past years, a number of important traits supporting plant growth have been shown for different strains of Priestia megaterium (formerly known as Bacillus megaterium). Here, we report the draft genome sequence of the endophytic bacterial strain Priestia megaterium B1, which was isolated from surface-sterilized roots of apple plants.
