Abstract

The method to model micro-fluidic flow, based on dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) was discussed. The DPD model was consisted of a set of particles that interact with each other through a set of prescribed forces. The advantage of the DPD method was, that a complex fluid could be simulated essentially by the conversion equation for a Newtonian fluid by adding additional interaction between particles. It was found that the method solves the simplified Boltzman equations on a discrete lattice with a computed velocity equilibrium distribution functions.
