Abstract

A quantitative and stereoselective synthesis of rac‐metallocenes has been developed for the first time. The novel rac‐metallocenes 1 were obtained from readily accessible homoleptic metal amides and nondeprotonated cyclopentadienes. Complexes of this type can be considered as catalysts of isotactic olefin polymerization. M = Zr, Hf; Y = NPh, C₅H₄. (Figure Presented.)
