Abstract

Distributed system consists of Windows machine controlling a Linux cluster and is implemented for the security of block ciphers and their suitability for random number generators. NIST statistical suite is used for testing the randomness of specific data sets by performing 188 different statistical tests, measuring the percentage of the tests each cipher passes. The data is generated and analyzed by System1 under Windows on a single machine, which processes megabytes of generated data for the analysis. System2 programs are communicated by Data sets generation and transmission to the Linux cluster and processing data on the Linux cluster. The Generator is modified by adding the function MoveData, which calls a WinSCP script to copy the data sets from the Windows machine to the Linux cluster.
