Abstract

Neoplasms of the pancreas are a rare entities in childhood. Solid pseudopapillary neoplasms (SPN) are usually found, which are often discovered by chance, especially in young female patients. Due to their infiltrative growth and their sometimes metastatic potency, early radical surgical resection is the treatment of choice. This case report illustrates the diagnostics and treatment of SPN and gives a brief synopsis of pancreatic neoplasms in children.
