Abstract
Different pharmacological substances are employed to treat the different stages of gonarthrosis. In the early stages, non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs, glucosamines and hyaluronic acid are employed, while in the more advanced stages, intraarticular corticosteroids and non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs are used. Finally, in the end stage, medical treatment is indicated only when surgery is contraindicated.
