Abstract
Current social and technological developments, which are in the center of attention within the initiative Industrie 4.0, cause changes in the requirements of production work and the needs of production employees. This paper describes the results of an extensive analysis of the main drivers of Industrie 4.0 in production in terms of their interaction. Furthermore it introduces theses on how production work will change in this context. Finally, a holistic view of the production worker of the future will be presented.
