Abstract

The advanced EV (AEV) burner uses the well-proven EV-burner concept of an aerodynamically stabilized swirl premix burner. Emphasis in the development process was put on the optimization of the fuel/air mixture homogeneity and the aerodynamic stability. The burner concept, the aerodynamic properties and the combustion performance of the AEV burner are described.
