Abstract

The utilization of hardwoods such as European beech seems to be promising in high-capacity engineered wood products. Therefore the goal of this research work was the development and the determination of material properties of LVL made of European beech. Within the experiments the high potential of the product could be proven as for all tested material properties a significant enhancement in comparison to other engineered wood products was found.
