Abstract
Three weldable standard aluminium alloys were studied. AlZn4, 5Mgl, AlMg4, 5mm and AlMgSil specimens for crack growth measurements were used. In the first part of the research program fracture behaviour under static loading was investigated. The second part deals with the fatigue crack growth under cyclic loading and the effect of different parameters such as stress ratio, material thickness and the weldment itself.
