Abstract

Successful communication and collaboration within companies is crucial for competitive product development. Hence, this paper presents an approach to identify organizational dependencies based on past engineering change information using structural complexity management and graph-based analysis. It therefore introduces a meta-model describing the interrelations in change information and defines rules to identify dependencies. Furthermore, it applies the method on a data set of engineering change requests to evaluate the approach.
