Abstract
Allergies to natural rubber latex and cross-reactions with foodstuffs and plants have increased considerably over the past years. The importance of the anamnesis, diagnostic measures and the necessary allergen restriction period is illustrated using a case report. The necessity of primary preventive measures is also discussed.
