Abstract

The «neurogene appendicopathia" is a non-inflammatory lesion of the vermiform appendix. The increased number of enterohormones causes different vegetative disturbances, mainly obstipation and diarrhoe. The coherence between long anamnesis, vegetative disturbances, medical evidence for chronic appendicitis and macroscopic unconspicuous appendix allows the suspicion «neurogene appendicopathia», it is confirmed by the pathologist. In every case appendectomy is recommended.
