Abstract
The development of control elements at commercial vehicle engineering is in strong cooperation with the vehicle users. With assistance of different test methods, for example interviews, observation and objective performance data, the truck drivers are involved in the further development of control elements. At the chair of vehicle of the Technical University of Munich (FTM) the dynamic driving simulator is used as tool to analyze the man-machine-interface of a cab and the behaviour of the drivers during operation. Considering an example the proceeding of the testing is pointed up. By means of the results optimisation proposals are developed which are imported in the further development of the driver cab.
