Abstract

The basic members of the analogous series of hexaalkylstannosiloxanes and octaalkylstannodisiloxanes, as well as of the branched decaalkylstannotrisiloxanes are readily prepared from alkali trialkylsilanolates and alkylhalostannanes in high yields. Similarly octaalkyldistannosiloxanes are obtained from alkali trialkylstannolates and dialkyldihalosilanes. The physical and chemical properties of the new compounds are reported, their IR and NMR spectra are recorded, assigned and discussed.
