Abstract

The number or conformations of biologically active peptides can be reduced by cyclization, which enables more exact NMR spectroscopic studies to be made. cyclo‐Leu⁵‐enkephalin 2, synthesized from 1, has the γγ‐ (or βγ) conformation according to 270‐MHz ¹H‐NMR data in dimethyl sulfoxide.
