Abstract

THE FERRITIC-AUSTENITIC STEEL X2CRNIMON225 TESTED UNDER QUASI-INDUSTRIAL STEAM TURBINE CONDITIONS EXHIBITS AT 20 AND 80D. C VERY GOOD CORROSION FATIGUE CHARACTERISTICS IN AQUEOUSNACL SOLUTIONS. AT 150 D. C, HOWEVER, THE CORROSION FATIGUELIMIT DATA CONSIDERABLY DECREASE, CAUSED BY STRONGER ELECTROCHEMICAL ATTACK, DUE TO INCREASED CHLORIDE ION ACTIVITY ANDINHOMOGENEOUS PASSIVE LAYER.
