Abstract

Correction Notice This correction addresses two errors included in Figure 12 on page 18 of the original paper. In the subplot associated with label CX only the aerodynamic part of the non-dimensional force coefficient CX was plotted, i.e., CX = CXprop + CXAero, which is why the time series in the original paper shows negative values. The plot was therefore corrected to present the model fit of the total aero-propulsive model against the total force coefficient CX during longitudinal excitations. Further, the advance ratio j of the aircraft's propeller, cf. Figure 12 of the original paper, was plotted using the rotational velocity of the engine without considering the transmission between the aircraft’s engine and propeller, leading to wrong values for the advance ratio. The error does not affect the presented results, since it is correctly implemented in the nonlinear aircraft model, should however be corrected in order to be consistent with other figures related to the aero-propulsive modeling and to avoid confusion. The Figure below shows the corrected version of Fig. 12 of the original paper. (Figure presented).
