Abstract
In 2020, corona-specific health literacy of the population in Germany ranged from 34.8-50.1%, with significant improvement over the year. A large proportion of the population does not always find it easy to deal with and manage health information about Covid-19, as shown by the present HLS-Covid-19 study of corona-specific health literacy. Appraising information poses by far the greatest challenge amongst all information tasks. The results also suggest a social gradient for low corona-specific health literacy.
