Abstract

A new concept for the separation of heterogeneous catalysts is presented. Against gravity, surface modified catalysis are located only in one of two immiscible liquid phases. The catalyst phase can be separated by simple decantation. Advantages of this multiphase system were demonstrated for hydrogenations and CC coupling reactions.
