Abstract

In this paper, a Logical-Dynamical System modeling and simulation tool is introduced. This tool combines discrete event and continuous time systems in a comfortable way. The model of the discrete event system is represented by a Petri net model (specific Condition/Event Net). Using the 'composite component model' [1] the continuous time system called basic system is designed. Both systems be connected by the switch block. The decision of the switch position depends on the mark setting of the Petri net. It will be shown that after a consideration of the whole system a separate modeling of both systems is useful.
