Considerations to conclude research work in line with FAIR principles and Open Science practices

Research output: Other contribution

Abstract

At the end of a modern research work, researchers are also supposed to take a good care of concluding process of their research work. This data package consists of a document which provides guidelines and a checklist for self-review to ensure the highest standard of Research Data Management (RDM) and the alignment of the activities with FAIR principles and Open Science practices while concluding research work.

These guidelines and checklist were created for large Collaborative Research Centres (CRC) e.g. TRR277 AMC (a CRC funded by German Research Council). The data generated in such centres is considered big, broad and heterogeneous. It may range from surveys, lab experiments, simulations, data models to software code and hardware design as well as real world objects etc.

This document assumes that researchers are complying with research data management policy defined for TRR277 AMC available at https://doi.org/10.14459/2024mp1734393. And they are using official IT infrastructure e.g. TUM Workbench, Globus/ DSS, mediaTUM and are maintaining Data Management Plans (DMPs) available at https://doi.org/10.14459/2023mp1709465.

AMC specific policy and infrastructure assumptions as well as contents may be altered by the concerned groups as per their own policy, infrastructure etc. The contents of the document may also be conveniently adopted for Web/ digital form applications.
