Abstract
In this article the static and constructional tasks of the building project Lehrter Bahnhof in Berlin are discussed, seen from the angle of the static test engineers. In the beginning the overall project with its structural parts is described, including the interaction between the parts. The high effort in managing the interchanges between the structural parts mirrors the extraordinary complexity of the project and emphasises the importance of coordination on the testing engineers side as well. In conclusion, on the basis of the experience gained as this project the consequences for static and constructional testing of major construction projects are drawn.
