title = "Congestion visualization based on probe vehicle data",
abstract = "The purposes of this study was to develop an analytical congestion visualization system using GIS with the help of probe vehicles as the source of data. Vissim 5.0 was used to generate travel time data on a hypothetical network. Average travel time on links were analyzed for various percentages of probe vehicles and compared to the {\textquoteleft}true{\textquoteright} average travel time using {\textquoteleft}bootstrapping{\textquoteright} technique. We employed ArcGIS designed for use by transportation professionals to display the results of travel time provided by probe in a more understandable visual fashion.",
