Abstract
The conclusion reflects on the evolution of the AI ethics discourse, particularly the most recent developments in terms of international AI governance and the legal frameworks, notably exemplified by the proposed EU AI Act. Considering the points discussed in the book, the final chapter addresses the deepening understanding of ethical challenges in AI development and application, including sector-specific considerations and the societal impact of emerging technologies, such as large language models (LLMs). While recognizing the impossibility of covering all AI-related ethical topics in one volume, the conclusion highlights the breadth and depth of the ongoing discourse and the importance of contextualizing AI ethics within diverse ethical frameworks. A key takeaway is the necessity of establishing a global standard of AI ethics, incorporating diverse moral traditions to foster a more inclusive and comprehensive approach to regulating AI on a global scale.
