But the utilization of existing knowledge can make the system development process more efficient. Therefore, this paper focuses on the data analysis of system architectures. It develops a concept to identify patterns between system architectures of different products in a database. The concept combines the knowledge discovery process of databases (KDD) and analyzing methods of product architectures. The so identified patterns of system architectures support the usage and fostering of synergies between different products.",
