Abstract

This paper investigates two reduced switch count AC-AC converter for suppling independently multiple single-phase load. The first converter system uses multiple one-leg converter topologies that share the mid-point connection to the split capacitor bank of the DC-link. The second converter system also uses multiple one-leg converter topologies, but in this case the converters share a connection to an extra-leg instead. The main characteristics of the converter systems are presented. Experimental and simulated results are presented.
