Abstract
An experimental setup by which electrons can tunnel through two small quantum dots in an Aharonov-Bohm geometry, while the coupling between the dots can be broadly tuned, was established. For weakly coupled dots, it was demonstrated that the setup allows to probe Aharonov-Bohm oscillations. In an intermediate coupling regime, the coherent coupling of the two quantum dots was determined and the magnetic field dependence of the tunnel splitting extracted.
