Abstract

The Cleridae from Socotra Island are reviewed and five species are recorded. In addition to the cosmopolitan Necrobia rufipes (De Geer, 1775), Wittmeridecus insularis sp. nov. (subfamily Tillinae), Opilo angustipennis sp. nov. and Opilo socotrensis sp. nov. (subfamily Clerinae) are described and illustrated. Opilo longipilis Fairmaire, 1892 is newly recorded from Socotra.
