Abstract

Because of the elementary impact of the feet for a patients social and economic integrety major foot defects display a therapeutic challenge for every plastic surgeon. More important that foot-conserving techniques is the restoration of an adequate function. Beside local flaps free tissue transfer in larger defects plays an important role.
