Abstract

The analogy between the isoelectronic groups Me₃Si and Me₂(H₃B)P exists not only on paper. For example, the Me₃SiCl analogue 1 is stable, distillable and relatively insensitive to moisture; on treatment with Ag₂O it affords the air‐ and water‐stable compound 2 corresponding to disiloxane.
