Abstract
This paper deals with the characterization of all systems needed to calculate the Fourier-Transform of a given signal. The procedure to classify these systems is given. One main part of the paper describes the practical application of the procedure. The well known sine-function plays a significant role in the investigations. The advantages of the technique of this paper are also discussed.
