Abstract
We report the results of time-resolved photoluminescence (TR-PL) spectroscopy on self-organised InAs-Al0.6Ga0.4As quantum dots with indirect barriers. The TR measurements confirm that carriers excited in Al0.6Ga0.4As barriers are captured by the dots on the time scale of 45-60 ps despite the indirect nature of the barriers. The dynamics of the PL decay time are consistent with a carrier hopping process between dots.
