Abstract

In this paper theoretical and experimental investigations of the impedance of planar slot antennas are reported. Planar half-wave and full-wave slots are simulated by a full wave analysis. For the excitation of the slots an impressed current density in the middle of the slot is Eissumed. The input impedance in the middle of the slot is calculated for various substrate materials and the calculations are validated by measurements.
