Abstract

This article gives a brief overview of the history of business ethics starting with Aristotle. Different contemporary approaches to business ethics are surveyed, with an emphasis on continental European discussions. The article distinguishes between and focuses on the deliberative, the contractarian, and the contractualist approach to business ethics. The second part presents a short list of current topics and questions in business ethics.
