Abstract
In this paper a bone drilling medical training system (MTS) concept is investigated. The focus of the work is on developing a control algorithm that enables teaching novice surgeons the core skills of a bone drilling operation. The MTS provides trainees with visual, acoustic, and haptic feedback. Some user tests are performed on the developed MTS and the results are discussed.
