N2 - In this research project, the gluability of five soft- and hardwoods (ash, beech, Douglas fir, larch and spruce) in combination with four adhesives (EPI, MUF, PRF and PUR) are investigated. Factors such as extractive content, pH value, wettability, etc., that may have significant influence on the bonding strength and durability of adhesive joints, are analyzed. The results of the research project achieved so far will be reported in this article.
