Abstract

Biomimicry has been a well established field of research and industrial application. Current approaches focus the translation of biological principles Into products while large potentials were identified in the translation of organizational principles from nature to production management. This paper gives a literature review and debates the fragmented research being conducted at present. In order to enable the structured translation into methods available to practitioners, a framework is developed which allows to structure the body of literature and to identify potential fields which are not researched at present.
