Abstract
The tendency to cracking of restrained concrete due to heat of hydration can be assessed by the cracking-temperature measured in the cracking frame. The cracking-temperature of the concrete can also be estimated, if the cracking-temperature or at least the class of cracking susceptibility for the cement used is known. Approximation formulae are given to take the influence of the temperature of the fresh concrete, the aggregates, the cement-and water content and specified additives into account.
