Abstract
We compared seepages calculated using various water balance models (HyMo-1, TUM, TLL Jena) with the estimates of the Bavarian Water Management Agency (LfW). The seepage-rates of six stations of the years 1980 to 1985 were determined for corn on the soil types sand and loam. The model HyMo-1 and the model of the TLL Jena corresponded to a high degree, while the model of the TU Munich calculates higher seepage rates, particularly on loam. The estimates of the Bavarian Water Management Agency in all comparisons are clearly below the results of the models. Another comparison with the measurements of the lysimeter at Weihenstephan shows the same results: High correspondences with the model HyMo-1 and the model of the TLL Jena, while the values of the TU Munich model are too high and the estimates of the LfW are too low.
