Abstract
The efficient and complete quality assurance of the safety equipment of automated special purpose machines represents a great challenge for their manufacturers. The creation of consistent test procedures is done manually or requires high modeling effort. Consequently, this paper examines a concept to derive necessary tests fully automated from ECAD documents. For this purpose, test models are derived based on industrial checklists and an ECAD model is introduced. The functionality of the approach is demonstrated and the potential of such a method is discussed on the basis of an industrial application case.
