Abstract

Effect of displacements of monostrands in free tendon layout - Consideration of monostrand forces in the ultimate limit state (ULS) The present article gives an overview on the current regulations for the free tendon layout in Germany and introduces a method to systematically take into account possible displacements of monostrands being generated during concreting. Consequently, the effect of those displacements on the ultimate limit state design is discussed. Furthermore, the article generally deals with the maximum tendon stress increase to be considered in floor slab systems utilizing post-tensioning without bond.
