Abstract
This article introduces several methods which allow an efficient execution of usability studies. They have been developed gradually within the framework of ongoing examinations and specific questions concerning gesture recognition, user adaptation and multi-modality at the Institute of Human-Machine Communication of the Technical University of Munich. In the development process certain stress was laid on a general applicability. Extensive automation, as well as the use of speech control facilitate the execution of usability surveys and lead to meaningful and comprehensible results.
