Abstract

This article describes the potentials of fuel cell applications. There are three very interesting possibilities for the use of fuel cells. Portable applications, mobile applications and third the stationary application of fuel cells to produce heat and electric energy. Because of the fact, that the cogeneration on the base of fuel cells is the most developed technology this technique is discussed in more detail. A realised project with a phosphoric acid fuel cell is described and the main issues are supported by the results of a measurement program.
