Abstract

The anomalous fluctuations of the zero field order parameter in phases with a broken continuous symmetry were analyzed. It was shown that the variance of the extensive spontaneous magnetization scales as L4 with the system size L, in dimensions 2<d<4. The dynamical susceptibility contained a singular contribution (q22/c 2)-1/2 for ground states in two dimensions with Goldstone modes vanishing linearly with momentum. The results show that the dynamic structure factor exhibited a critical continuum above the undamped spin wave pole.
