Abstract
Approximation equations are motivated to describe the dynamical conductivity of a non interacting electron gas moving in a random potential. The equations are shown to yield an Anderson transition with a mobility decreasing continously to zero on one side and a polarizability diverging on the other side of the mobility edge.
