Abstract

Using a Skyrme interaction, equilibrium α-cluster configurations are calculated for light 4N-nuclei. It is shown that the use of parity (or angular momentum) projected trial wave functions considerably enhances the formation of α-clusters. Althogether, slightly less α-clustering is obtained than in comparable calculations using the simple effective interaction B1 of Brink en Boeker.
